It's a great time for a big batch of Vichyssoise Soup. Dutch Cream potatoes are on special. Leeks are at the peak of their season and looking particularly fresh and delicious, we just had a huge bin delivered! I really love this soup, it is delicate and fresh in flavour and makes a great meal in itself or a simple entree if you are having friends for dinner. This recipe is by Anthony Bourdain.

My mother gave me this recipe, she swore how delicious it was and I will definately be trying it over the next couple of days... fennel and orange a perfect combo!

Do they really taste better than your average tomato? At $9.80 for a 500g punnet they represent reasonable value when compared to other punnets. But do they really taste better than a regular tomato? Well... I tried them on som.. 0 comments

However they are quite versitile and if you are looking for something different for inspiration in the kitchen you could do worse. They are tangy and sweet and so their flavour works beautifully on a homemade pizza. They are also of course, a perfect vehicle for stuffing and what you include in the stuffing mixture is limited only by your imagination and what is in the fridge.
