About the product

These organic mussels are gathered in the Galician Firths on the Spanish northwest Atlantic coast in deep clear waters. They are artisanal canned with the traditional pickled sauce with extra virgin olive oil. Vinegar, paprika, onion and garlic, all coming from the certified organic agriculture.

Our mussels come from the organic bivalve mollusc aquaculture which works in harmony with the enviromment helping to promote the sustainability of the species. Communities with a long fishing tradition are supported. As they are always processed in fresh, the mussels flesh quality is also preserved with the result being a better tasting and quality product.

Yellowfin Tuna in Organic Olive Oil

About the product

Yellowfin tuna loins from sustainable and controlled fishery stocks, cooked in sea water, hand cleaned and canned in first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil from the certified organic agriculture. The Yellowfin tuna is rod-caught one by one to the Eastern Middle Atlantic traditional inshore fishery. Rod-caught Tuna fishing allows the selective capture preventing overfishing and the discarding of species without value or non-commercial sizes. This type of fishing also allows the fishermen to maintain their traditional ways of life and serves them as economic support for their families.

Mackerel Fillets in Organic Olive Oil

About the product

Mackerel fillets without skin and bones from sustainable and controlled fishery stocks. Caught by the North Spanish Atlantic traditional inshore fishery using the fish-hook and hand-line method directly upon the shoal and without nets, avoiding the capture of non commercial or protected species during the migration of Mackerel towards the North European waters.

This “one to one” fishing method also assures a high quality of fish and help to preserve natural stocks and development of immature individuals as a way to support future generations. The fish is cleaned by hand and canned with extra virgin olive oil from certified Spanish organic agriculture.

All fish are caught using traditional methods – Sardines/Mackerel using Purse Seine and Tuna using Pole and Line or FAD Free Purse Seine.Once caught, the fish is worked by hand, cleaned and placed on grills to be cooked by steam. Then packed by hand with brine or Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Whole fillets not chunks are used, including for tuna. So this means, you get a high quality tasty fish to sink your teeth into. All fish are caught from sustainable fisheries, using sustainable and dolphin friendly methods.
