About the product

Mackerel fillets without skin and bones from sustainable and controlled fishery stocks. Caught by the North Spanish Atlantic traditional inshore fishery using the fish-hook and hand-line method directly upon the shoal and without nets, avoiding the capture of non commercial or protected species during the migration of Mackerel towards the North European waters.

This “one to one” fishing method also assures a high quality of fish and help to preserve natural stocks and development of immature individuals as a way to support future generations. The fish is cleaned by hand and canned with extra virgin olive oil from certified Spanish organic agriculture.

Named after the Sea, MAR fish products are made using traditional methods used by Portuguese fisherman for years. All fish are caught using traditional methods – Tuna using Pole and Line or FAD Free Purse Seine.

Once caught, the fish is worked by hand, cleaned and placed on grills to be cooked by steam. Then packed by hand with brine.

Whole fillets not chunks are used. So this means, you get a high quality tasty fish to sink your teeth into.

All fish are caught from sustainable fisheries, using sustainable and dolphin friendly methods.
